Warburg Pincus keen to exit care-home group

Warburg Pincus is believed to have put Craigmore, the private nursing-home operator, up for sale.

Warburg has lined up six potential buyers for Craigmore reports the Sunday Times. All of the offers are from other private equity firms and the price tag is believed to be £200m.

Craigmore is one of the biggest nursing-home operators in the UK with 4,700 beds and sales of £100m. Warburg invested in Craigmore in 1994 but investors have been disappointed with returns and the firm is believed to under pressure from investors to sell.
