Fred Wilson: Entrepreneurs Can Net Startup Cash Via Contests, Prizes
Earlier, peHUBlogger Fred Wilson, in his A VC blog, started digging into various ways startups could procure funding, primarily via equity trades and loans. There are, however, other ways (perhaps less frequently) to get some startup dough together for a launch. I did not have this option in my original list but it was suggested so many times in the comments that I added it. This is an option that has become a lot more available to entrepreneurs in recent years. There are so many programs out there....
