Cool Planet Energy Systems collects $19.4 mln in Series D funds
Cool Planet Energy Systems said Tuesday that it has raised $19.4 million in Series D funding. Investors included North Bridge Venture Partners, Shea Ventures, BP, Google Ventures, Energy Technology Ventures (GE, ConocoPhillips, NRG Energy) and the constellation division of Exelon. Based in Camarillo, Calif., Cool Planet Energy Systems is a provider of solutions that convert non-food biomass into gasoline through mechanical and chemical processes.
