Fastly fetches $40 mln Series C

Content delivery network Fastly said Tuesday that it has secured $40 million in Series C funding. August Capital led the round with participation from investors that included Battery Ventures, O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures, Amplify Partners and IDG Ventures. Also, Fastly has named Lori Beedle as SVP of worldwide sales. Previously, Beedle worked at Microsoft where she served as GM of worldwide sales.
