Yummly acquires VC-backed The Orange Chef
Yummly has acquired San Francisco-based The Orange Chef, a smart nutrition scale developer. No financial terms were disclosed. Also, Yummy has named Santiago Merea as its first chief revenue officer. Previously, Merea was CEO and founder of Orange Chef. Yummly is backed by Bauer Venture Partners, Physic Ventures, Unilever Corporate Ventures, First Round Capital, Harrison Metal Capital and Intel Capital. The Orange Chef's backers included Melo7 Tech Partners, Google Ventures, SparkLabs Global Ventures, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, Kima Ventures, The Social+Capital Partnership and Graph Ventures.
