Abris closes debut fund on €320m

The firm, which focuses on Central and Eastern Europe, was formed last year by former Advent director George Swirski and former Copernicus Capital managing partner Neil Milne.

Abris Capital Partners has raised €320 million for its debut fund, surpassing its initial fundraising target of €300 million.

The firm was founded last year by George Swirski, former managing director at emerging markets specialist Advent International, and Neil Milne, former managing partner at  Central and Eastern European-focused Copernicus Capital Partners.

Warsaw-based Abris, which maintains additional offices in Kiev and Bucharest, will target its debut fund towards mid-market investments in Central and Eastern Europe.

The firm’s investment focus includes the construction, infrastructure, telecommunications, manufacturing and education sectors, according to its website.

Placement agent Travers Smith Investment Funds assisted with the fund raise.   

Washington DC-based firm EMP Global owns a minority stake in Abris.
