Former Advent International partner Beverly Berman has joined Thomas H. Lee Partners as a director in the firm’s investor relations group. Berman will work with managing director Gregory White.
At Advent, Berman was a senior member of the firm’s limited partner services group, responsible for investor relations and fund marketing activities in North America. She joined Advent in 2003; before, she was a partner at placement agent CP Eaton & Associates. Previously, she was a director in Credit Suisse First Boston's customized fund investment group. From 1997 to 2000, she was portfolio manager of alternative investments for the Public Employees' Retirement Association of Colorado (Colorado PERA), leading due diligence and monitoring of buyout, venture capital and international private equity funds.
Prior to Colorado PERA, Berman was vice president of health care equity research at Hanifen Imhoff, a Denver-based investment bank. She began her career at ITOCHU International, a Japanese trading conglomerate, where she was manager of new business development focusing on new technology and early-stage investments.
