Aerio Pharmaceuticals takes in about $40 mln
Aerpio Pharmaceuticals Inc, a biopharmaceutical company focused on treating ocular diseases, has raised about $40 million in funding. The investors included Novartis Venture Fund, OrbiMed, Satter Investment Management, Kearny Venture Partners, Venture Investors LLC and Triathlon Medical Ventures. Raymond James & Associates, Inc, National Securities Corporation and Katalyst Securities LLC were the placement agents.
