American Capital Energy to invest in Senegal wind power project
American Capital Energy & Infrastructure (ACEI) said Monday it has committed to invest in a Senegal wind power project and wind farm planned in West Africa. The total capital cost of the facility is expected to be 305 million euros (US$344 million). American Capital Energy plans to provide about 75 million euros (US$84.6 mln) of equity. The rest will come from senior and mezzanine lenders, the statement said. The project is a 151.8MW wind farm under development, which will be located in Taiba Ndiaye in Senegal, approximately 75km northwest of Dakar. ACEI is part of American Capital.
