AmorChem invests in project to advance new RNA technology

Canadian life sciences venture capital firm AmorChem has made an undisclosed investment to develop new technology focused on short sequences of RNA that direct intracellular traffic. AmorChem invested through an agreement with Univalor, the commercialization arm of the University of Montreal, and researchers with the Montreal Clinical Research Institute and McGill University. The project is intended to create a better understanding of RNA sequencing and help improve treatment options. AmorChem invested through its second seed-stage fund, AmorChem II Fund LP, which is backed by Fondaction CSN, Fonds de solidarité FTQ, Merck and other investors.
