Apollo Global Management has raised $24.6 billion to date for its Apollo Investment Fund IX, per a SEC filing. The New York-headquartered firm has set a $23.5 billion target and began fundraising in 2017. The SEC filing did not disclose whether the capital raise constituted a final or interim close.
Its previous fund raised $18.4 billion in 2013.
Investors that committed to Apollo Investment Fund IX include the Oregon State Treasury, New Hampshire Retirement System and the Los Angeles Water & Power Employees Retirement Plan.
The fund will target buyout opportunities in a diverse number of sectors in North America and Europe.
