Global early-stage venture capital firm Atlas Venture has promoted principals Sonali De Rycker and Martin Gibson to partners in its London office.
De Rycker focuses on investments in enterprise software and Internet-enabled businesses, and has been with Atlas since 2000. Prior to receiving her MBA from Harvard Business School, De Rycker spent three years within the corporate finance team at Goldman Sachs, where she helped co-found a new business advising Fortune 50 corporations on strategic acquisition alternatives.
Gibson focuses on the semiconductor, storage and communications sectors. Before joining Atlas in 2000, Gibson spent 10 years in product development at various companies including Madge Networks, CellStack and Scientific Generics.
In June, Atlas also announced the hire of partner Jeff Fagnan to its office in Waltham, Massachusetts. He specialises in systems, components and infrastructure.
With investing offices in Boston, London, Munich and Paris, Atlas Venture divides its investments between the US and Europe. Founded in 1980, Atlas Venture has organized six international funds, and currently manages $2.1 billion in committed capital.
