Audience completes acquisition of VC-backed Sensor Platforms
Audience has closed its buy of Sensor Platforms for a consideration of $41 million in cash. Based in San Jose, Calif., Sensor Platforms develops software and algorithms that interpret sensor data to enable context awareness on smartphones and wearables. Sensor Platforms was backed by North Bay Angels, ArrowPath Venture Partners and Newbury Ventures.
