Mux raises $2.8 mln in seed funding

San Francisco-based Mux, a provider of performance analytics for video developers and media publishers, announced it has raised $2.8 million in seed-stage funding. Investors include SV Angel, Lowercase Capital, Susa Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, Advancit Capital, Y Combinator and individual investors, including Stripe co-founders John and Patrick Collison, Parse founder Ilya Sukhar, and Heroku founder James Lindenbaum.

Ohio's Rev1 launches seed fund

Columbus, Ohio-based Rev1Ventures, an investor in the Great Lakes Region, announced the launch of a $22 million seed-stage pool called Rev1 Fund I. The Ohio Third Frontier Pre-Seed/Seed Plus Fund Capitalization Program provided an $8 million loan for the fund. The fund is also supported by Nationwide, Ohio State University, Cardinal Health and other Columbus companies and organizations. The fund will invest in tech startups, including software, hardware, life sciences, alternative energy and advanced materials.

JOLT leads funding in media platform Blackwood Seven

Copenhagen-based Blackwood Seven, q provider of an AI media platform, announced it has raised $15.1 million (€13.5 million) in funding from JOLT Capital, Sunstone Capital, Conor Venture Partners and The Danish Growth Fund. The company said it plans to use the funding to support its entry into the U.S. market.

Resolute Ventures led the seed round with participation from KEC Ventures, Amicus Capital, Arba Seed Investment Group and angel investor Gokul Rajaram.
