Private equity firm Francisco Partners has exited its investment in Mincom Pty Ltd., selling the company to ABB Ltd. Terms of the deal were not released. Mincom is the maker of an asset management software platform. Jefferies & Co. advised Mincom on the deal.

The private equity unit of China’s Citic Securities Co. has closed a dollar-denominated fund worth roughly $1 billion, Reuters reported. The CPEChina Fund inked $990 million from 39 overseas limited partners, the firm said in a statement, though it declined to name specific LPs. The fund will focus on Chinese companies in industries including manufacturing, technology, financial institutions and services, energy, resources, healthcare, consumer goods and retail, Reuters reported.

Buyout shop BC Partners will buy Italian clothing retailer Gruppo Coin in a deal valuing the company at 930 million euros ($1.34 billion), Reuters reported. The firm will acquire 78.7% of Gruppo Coin, buying a large part of its a stake from PAI Partners, Reuters said. PAI Partners currently owns 69.3% of Coin.

Samsonite is aiming to hold a listing hearing with the Hong Kong stock exchange in late May as part of its preparation for an initial public offering, Reuters reported. Before launching an IPO, all companies must meet the exchange to get a formal approval to go public. Luxembourg-based luggage maker Samsonite is owned by private equity firm CVC and the Royal Bank of Scotland. The company is expected to raise up to $1.5 billion in the offering.

Early stage venture firm Mohr Davidow has added Paul Cleveland as a general partner and as chief operating officer. Cleveland joins from Affymax, a pharmaceutical company, where he was chief financial officer and executive vice president of corporate development. In his new role, Cleveland will be responsible for all finance, operations and administrative functions at Mohr Davidow, the firm said in a statement.

Nordic Capital has applied to list its portfolio company FinnvedenBulten, a Swedish auto parts maker, on the Stockholm stock exchange, Reuters reported. The value of the offering would be between 614 million and 695 million crowns ($92.6 million-$105 million), Reuters wrote. Nordic Capital acquired the company in 2005.

Business networking company LinkedIn will offer 7.84 million shares in its initial public offering, pricing the shares between $32 and $35 apiece, Reuters reported. At the high end, LinkedIn could raise up to $274 million in the IPO. The company is offering 4.8 million shares, and the rest by stockholders including Goldman Sachs, McGraw-Hill Companies Inc. and Bain Capital.
