ACV Auctions locks in $93 mln Series D

Buffalo, New York-based ACV Auctions Inc, an online wholesale automotive marketplace, has secured $93 million in Series D funding. Bain Capital Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Future Fund, Tribeca Ventures and Armory Square Ventures.

Underscore.VC garners over $132 mln for sophomore fund

Boston-based venture firm Underscore.VC has raised over $132 million for its second fund, according to an updated SEC filing. The target is $140 million. The firm invests in a number of sectors that include artificial intelligence, blockchain, internet of things and machine learning.

DrChrono fetches $10 mln

Sunnyvale, California-based DrChrono Inc, "which brings the medical practice of the future into reality," has raised $10 million in funding. The backer was SQN Venture Partners.

Earnin inks $125 mln

Earnin, an app that allows people to bypass the two-week pay period, has raised $125 million in financing. The investors included DST Global, Andreessen Horowitz, Spark Capital, Matrix Partners, March Capital Partners, Coatue Management and Ribbit Capital.

Halo Labs scores $5.6 mln Series B

Philadelphia-based Halo Labs, a developer of tools for biologics researchers, has raised $5.6 million in Series B financing round. The lead investor was Research Corporation Technologies.

Medical diagnostics Kypha snags $4 mln Series A

St. Louis, Missouri-based Kypha, a medical diagnostics company, has secured $4 million in Series A funding. Arsenal Capital Management led the round.

Fair racks up $385 mln Series B

Santa Monica, California-based Fair, a car-as-a-service provider, has raised $385 million in Series B financing. SoftBank led the round with participation from other investors that included Exponential Ventures, Munich Re Venture's ERGO Fund, G Squared and CreditEase.

Changing Health lands funding

UK-based Changing Health, a provider of digital behaviour change programs, has secured 3 million pounds in funding. Shift Invest led the round.

Simplifya pulls in $3 mln Series C

Denver, Colorado-based Simplifya, a developer of regulatory compliance software for the cannabis industry, has secured $3 million in Series C funding. Merida Capital Partners led the round.

New Rhein collects $47.7 mln for fund

New Rhein Healthcare Investors, a private equity firm focused on healthcare therapeutics and medical devices, has raised $47.7 million for its first pooled fund. Also, it has secured an additional $15 million commitment, which will be released when the fund reaches its $100 million final target.
