UiPath rakes in $265 mln Series C

New York-based UiPath, an enterprise robotic process automation software company, has raised $265 million in Series C funding. The investors included IVP, Madrona Venture Group, Meritech Capital, CapitalG and Sequoia Capital.

Dust Identity lands $2.3 mln seed

Boston-based Dust Identity, a provider of a diamond unclonable security tag, has secured $2.3 million in seed funding. Kleiner Perkins led the round with participation from New Science Ventures, Angular Ventures and Castle Island Ventures.

SAM Seamless Network takes in $12 mln Series A

Tel Aviv-based SAM Seamless Network, the intuitive security system for the home IoT network, has raised $12 million in Series A financing. Intel Capital led the round with participation from other investors that include NightDragon, ADT Inc and Blumberg Capital.

Gas Pos snaps up $1 mln from Merus Capital

North Little Rock, Arkansas-based Gas Pos, a tech platform for the fuel industry, has secured $1 million in funding. The investor was Merus Capital.

Foundation Capital leads Series A round for Simple Habit

San Francisco-based Simple Habit, a daily stress relief platform for busy people, has raised $10 million in Series A funding. Foundation Capital led the round.

Syndio rallies $5.2 mln seed

Syndio, a pay equity SaaS startup, has raised $5.2 million in seed funding. The investors were Sirius Partners, Contour Venture Partners and Frontier Venture Capital. In addition to the funding, Syndio has named Maria Colacurcio as CEO. She is the co-founder of SmartSheet, which went public last April and is also a former director at Starbucks.

VC-backed Poshmark appoints CMO

Poshmark, a social commerce platform for retailers and shoppers, has named Steven Tristan Young as chief marketing officer. Previously, Young worked at GrubHub. Poshmark's backers include Mayfield, Menlo Ventures, GGV Capital, Temasek, Inventus Capital, Uncork Capital, Union Grove Venture Partners, Shea Ventures and AngelList.

Alliance Ventures funds Enevate

Irvine, California-based Enevate Corp, an advanced lithium-ion battery technology company, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding. The investor was Alliance Ventures, strategic venture capital arm of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi.

Heyday ropes in $8 mln Series A

Heyday, a provider of facial treatments, has raised $8 million in Series A funding. Fifth Wall Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Lerer Hippeau and Brainchild Funding.

Savi fetches $7.5 mln

Alexandria, Virginia-based Savi, a provider of big data/machine learning analytic solutions, supply chain management software and sensor technology, has raised $7.5 million in financing. Eastward Capital Partners led the round. Kimberly Cafferty of Cafferty & Company advised Savi on the transaction.
