Silicon Valley software company DigiSight Technologies Inc has received $7.8 million in Series B funding. The backers included Biosys Capital, Waycross Ventures, GE Ventures and Lagunita LLC.

BitPesa, a Kenya-based bitcoin remittance platform, has secured $1.1 million in follow-on funding, the company said in a blog post on its site. Pantera Capital Management LP led the round with participation from other investors that included Crypto Currency Partners LP, Stephens Investment Management LLC, Bitcoin Opportunity Corp. and Future/Perfect Ventures.
