Property and casualty reinsurer Third Point Re, controlled by billionaire hedge fund manager Dan Loeb, filed to raise up to $250 million in an initial public offering of its common stock, Reuters reported.

Telligent said Monday it is buying Zimbra from VMware. Financial terms weren't announced. Zimbra wil receive investments from Intel Capital, NXT Capital Venture Finance, BDCA, Hall Financial Group and VMware. Zimbra provides messaging and collaboration software.

RiverVest Venture Partners said Monday it is selling IDEV Technologies to Abbott Laboratories for $310 million. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year. Webster, Texas-based IDEV develops next generation medical devices for interventional radiology, vascular surgery and cardiology. RiverVest said the sale represents a 2.6x gross return on $12 million invested by RiverVest, which owned IDEV shares through both its Fund I and Fund II.

Parkway Products said Monday that it has closed its sale of Parkway Aerospace & Defense business to EDAC Technologies Corp., a portfolio company of Greenbriar Equity Group. Financial terms weren't announced. Houlihan Lokey provided financial advice to Parkway Products. Florence, Kentuckyy-based Parkway specializes in the custom molding of a variety of polymers and polymer-matrix composites.

Joe's Jeans has agreed to buy Hudson Clothing Holdings, a portfolio company of Fireman Capital Partners, for about $97.6 million in cash and convertible notes. The deal is expected to close on or about Aug. 31. Los Angeles-based Hudson is a designer and marketer of women's and men`s premium branded denim apparel. Threadstone Advisors advised Joe's Jeans while Lazard Middle Market provided financial advice to Hudson Clothing.

Josh Guttman has joined SoftBank Capital, a venture group affiliated with Japan’s SoftBank Corp, as a partner. He will focus on SoftBank Capital’s investments in early-stage technology startups based in New York State. Guttman joins from Outbrain, where he was a SVP of platform sales.

Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. said David Bradshaw and David Sproule have joined the firm's upstream advisory business. Bradshaw was named an MD at Tudor. He was previously an Advisory Director at UBS. Sproule, who is joining Tudor as a VP, is also from UBS where he worked in the firm's upstream investment banking efforts.

Armada Acquisition Group has acquired Wing Inflatables. Financial terms weren't announced. Arcata, Calif.-based Wing supplies tubes, sponsons, and foam collars to the inflatable boat and rigid inflatable boat market. Lafayette, CA-based Armada is an investment firm led by Mark French, a former principal of Greyrock Capital Group; Andrew Branagh, the ex-CEO of Mozzarella Fresca; and, Dr. Bruce Bauer, Founder and General Partner of Newbury Ventures. Woodbridge International provided financial advice to Wing.

Century Bridge Capital has invested $44.4 million in a joint venture with Coastal Greenland Limited to develop in-fill, middle-income, residential project in Wuhan, China. Century Bridge China Real Estate Fund LP provided $30.5 million of the investment while the remaining $14.4 million was provided through co-investment. Century is a private equity firm with offices in Beijing and Dallas.
