Biotie, a publicly-traded Finnish company, has agreed to acquire Elbion GmbH, a German drug company focused on neurology and immunology. No financial terms were disclosed. Elbion shareholders – including Burrill & Co., TVM Capital and AGF Private Equity – have agreed to buy approximately $4.2 million of new shares in Biotie as part of the deal, while Elbion will also receive around 46.8 million new Biotie shares. Elbion had raised around $62 million in VC funding.

Crispy Gamer, a New York-based provider of online editorial content for gamers, has raised $8.25 million in first-round funding from Constellation Ventures and company founders. The company will not accept advertising from game publishers.

ZeroG Wireless Inc., a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based developer of low-power WiFi chips, has raised $17 million in Series B funding. Battery Ventures led the round, and was joined by return backers Greylock Partners and Morgenthaler Ventures. The company previously raised a $13 million first round from Greylocl, Morgenthaler and Cisco Systems.
