Avison Young opens new San Jose/Silicon Valley office
Toronto-based Avison Young, a commercial real estate services firm, has opened a new office in Silicon Valley/San Jose, California. The new American office will be the firm's 11th office in California and 55th in the U.S. Gregg von Thaden will join the San Jose/Silicon Valley office as managing director and principal of the firm. Among those joining him as principals in the same office are Brian Mason and Ryan Slater. Avison Young is a portfolio company of Canadian private equity firm Parallel49 Equity.
