Bowmark promotes three

The UK mid-market firm has promoted six people and hired three so far this year.

Bowmark Capital has promoted one person to partner and two to investment director, the latest in a flurry of personnel developments at the UK mid-market firm this year.

Stephen Delaney has been made a partner while Antonia Cheong and Guy Yarrow have been promoted to investment director. Delaney leads the firm’s technology team and joined Bowmark in 2014 from Darwin Private Equity.

Cheong sits on the firm’s business services and healthcare team and also joined Bowmark in 2014, from DC Advisory. Yarrow has been with Bowmark since 2012 and works in the firm’s media and education teams

The promotions come a week after three similar promotions, and three months after the firm strengthened its investment team with three new hires following the departure of Mark Salter, a former senior partner and member of the firm’s investment and senior management committee.

In January, Private Equity International reported that Bowmark and Five Arrows Principal Investments, the private equity business of Rothschild Merchant Banking, had made a 2.5x return on the £340 million ($412 million; €387 million) sale of Autodata to Solera Holdings.

The firm is currently investing its fifth fund, which closed on £375 million in 2013.
