BrightStar Capital Partners raises $710m

The New-York based private equity firm successfully closes its first fund.

Brightstar Capital Partners’ debut fund has held a final close at $710 million after two-years on the road, missing its original target of $750 million. The fund is focused on control-oriented investments in North American mid-market companies.

Eaton Partners acted as the exclusive placement agent and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett served as legal counsel.
