Canaan Partners leads Series A round for Zugata

Palo Alto, California-based data company Zugata has secured $7 million in Series A funding. Canaan Partners led the round with participation from General Catalyst and Redpoint Ventures. In addition to the funding, Canaan Partners General Partner Hrach Simonian and General Catalyst Managing Director Steve Herrod have been added to Zugata's board.
