The Carlyle Group has raised $773.4 million for the Carlyle Global Financial Services Partners III, according to a US SEC filing. The US buyout fund will be invested in the financial services sector.
So far, 56 investors have committed capital to the fund. These include the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System (KTRS) and the Employees Retirement System of Texas.
The fund’s predecessor, Carlyle Global Financial Services Partners II, closed at $1 billion in June 2014.
