Checkerspot lands $13 mln Series A
Berkeley, California-based Checkerspot Inc, a materials innovation company, has secured $13 million in Series A financing. Builders VC led the round with participation from other investors that included Breakout Ventures, Viking Global Investors, KdT Ventures, Plug and Play Ventures, Sahsen Ventures and Godfrey Capital. In addition to the funding, Jim Kim, a general partner at Builders VC, will join Checkerspot's board of directors.
