Chemrec Raises $20 Million for Biorefinery Technology
Chemrec, a Sweden-based company focused on converting pulp mills into biorefineries, has raised $20 million in Series C funding. Environmental Technologies Fund led the round, and was joined by return backers VantagePoint Venture Partners and Volvo Technology Transfer. The company’s technology is known as black liquor gasification.
