Citi agrees to sell Japan retail banking to SMBC-Reuters

Citigroup Inc (C.N) has agreed to sell its Japanese retail banking operations to Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp (SMBC), as the U.S. bank retreats from unprofitable businesses around the world, Reuters reported.
