Investment bank D.A. Davidson & Co. is expanding its private equity team. Bryan Cummings will join the investment banking group as a managing director and head of private equity coverage. He will be responsible for expanding the firm’s existing private equity relationships.
Cummings will be joining the bank from a global information services firm. Prior to that Cummings was at RBC Capital Markets where he was leading US middle market sponsor coverage.
Cummings will be based in D.A. Davidson’s Costa Mesa, California office.
“With his experience and successful track record in the private equity community, Bryan is a strong addition to our middle market M&A platform,” said Rory McKinney, co-head of investment banking at D.A. Davidson.
In January, the bank announced a new leadership team including Jim Kerr as president and CEO succeeding Bill Johnstone. Johnstone retired from both roles in January, but remains in the role of executive chairman.
