Dawn Capital raises $235m

The tech venture capital firm closes significantly oversubscribed third fund.

Dawn Capital III has held a first and final close at $235 million, after increasing its hard-cap twice following investor demand and an increase in European venture capital opportunities. The significantly oversubscribed vehicle targets early stage SaaS and Fintech businesses in the UK and rest of Europe. Dawn Capital initially invests between $5 million and 15 million, and more than $30 million overall, in B2B companies that are seeking operational and financial support.

The European Investment Fund and the British Business Bank were among the repeat investors in the fund.

Dawn Capital II held a final close at £67 million in July 2013.
