Accenture, Intel and BSTC VCT invest and Chrome acquires.

Accenture puts E10m into Asterop

Accenture Technology, Air Liquide Ventures and Turenne Capital Partners have invested E10m in a third round for Asterop.

Asterop, which develops customer relationship management software, has a presence in France, the UK, US, and Japan and plans to expand further.

Chrome approves Xworks buy

Chrome Technology shareholders have approved the acquisition of Xworks, an incubator, at the Chrome AGM.

The deal will be worth £2.68m and will be paid in Chrome shares.

Xworks has taken majority stakes in three companies: Careerplus; Onthebox; and Quantum.

Intel invests into InfoCyclone

Intel Capital has provided additional capital to InfoCyclone, which supplies information retrieval systems.

Israel-based InfoCyclone raised $2.5 million in its seed round of funding led by Gemini with an additional investment from Star Ventures.

The company said it would use the funding to support its growth and the further development of its technologies.

BSTC VCT invests further in Digital Healthcare

British Smaller Technology Companies VCT, the Leeds-based venture capital trust, has invested an additional £125,000 in Digital Healthcare.

The Cambridge-based company produces medical imaging and raised £250,000 in March last year.

The worldwide market Digital Healthcare is aiming at was estimated to be worth $48bn in 1999.
