Investcorp funds Irish data conferencing business growth
Investcorp, the global investment group which makes private equity investments in Europe and North America, has completed its second investment this week by leading the E15m financing round for Spectel, a Dublin-based provider of conferencing solutions.
Investcorp has invested in the firm through its venture capital division, which earlier this week backed US printing solutions business httprint. Spectel will use the additional capital to accelerate its plans to increase its presence in the high-growth data conferencing market by investing in or acquiring applications and specific technologies that complement existing voice and data conferencing platforms and applications.
Walden Israel backs SintecMedia
Walden Israel, an early-stage venture capital firm has backed a $10m investment round in SintecMedia, a Jerusalem-based startup which manufactures broadcast management systems.
The investment is the fourth to be made by Walden’s latest fund, Walden Israel Ventures III. Other investors include SintecMedia, Ascend Technology Ventures, Kardan, and Formula. Walden’s investment in the round is $3.15m. The funding will be used to develop the firm’s integrated software systems which provide real-time data to broadcast stations and networks.
