Mid-market private equity firm HGGC has hired Greg Hughes, Bob Pender and David Chung as executive directors and promoted Pat Dugoni to vice president from senior associate. Also, James Herrmann joins HGGC as a business development officer from former Bain Capital portfolio company Icon Health and Fitness. Previously, Hughes worked at HGGC-backed Serena Software where he was president and CEO while Pender most recently served as its chief operating officer. And, Chung is a former director and principal at KKR.

Denver-based Pawngo/Lux Exchange, an online marketplace specializing in luxury assets, has named Dewey Burke as president and CEO. Previously, Burke worked at Jumping Jack Cash where he served as chief operating officer. Also, Burke is the former vice president of operations at 1K1V, a sub-Saharan Africa-focused private equity fund targeting investments in the lower middle market. KKR Capstone said Jan. 31 that it appointed Claus Benkert as the Head of KKR Capstone Europe, effective from March 1st. Claus will also be a member of the KKR European Portfolio Management Committee. He joins KKR Capstone from McKinsey where led that firm's Munich office and was a member of McKinsey's German operating committee for the last decade.
