Top PE attorney Blake joins O'Melveny's global investment funds group

Global law firm O'Melveny is adding leading private equity attorney Jonathan Blake to its global investment funds group. Blake is joining the firm's London office from King & Wood Mallesons where he was the head of the international funds practice.

VSCP hires two as GP and another as CFO

Vesey Street Capital Partners, a middle-market healthcare-focused private equity firm, has hired Larry Marsh and David De Luca as general partners. Also, the firm has named Bryan Sekino as chief financial officer. Previously, Marsh was executive vice president of new market development and chief strategy officer at AmerisourceBergen while De Luca worked at Morgan Stanley where he was a managing director and head of U.S. institutional equity sales in New York and other regions. And, Sekino worked at Brant Point Capital Management.

Atlanta-based venture firm Valor Ventures has named Robin Bienfait as a partner. Currently, Bienfait is the CEO and founder of Global Mobile Solutions.

Seacoast Capital has hired Phil Curatilo as principal and chief marketing officer. Previously, Curatilo was principal and CMO for Cyprium Partners (and its predecessor firm, KPP), managing director for Westham Capital and general partner for Riverside Partners.

Liberty Hall-backed Accurus promotes Kirkpatrick as president/CEO

Accurus Aerospace Corporation, a provider of machined parts, kits and assemblies and processing services focused on the aircraft platforms, has promoted Robert A. Kirkpatrick to president and CEO. Also, Accurus has named James M. Gibson as chairman. Accurus was formed by Liberty Hall Capital Partners in 2013.

Applied Acoustics International, a portfolio company of Angeles Equity Partners, has named Tony Daines as chief marketing officer. Previously, Daines worked as CMO for the Adler Pelzer Group NAFTA business unit. Chicago Heights, Illinois-based AAI is a provider of noise, vibration and harshness solutions for the North American automotive sector.

Onex Corp has promoted Amir Motamedi to managing director. Motamedi joined the firm in 2006. Prior to joining Onex, Motamedi worked at Goldman Sachs' investment banking unit.

Canadian private equity firm Onex Corp has promoted Amir Motamedi to managing director. Motamedi joined Onex in 2006 and has focused on the firm's private equity investments in the business services sector. He has worked on numerous deals, including last October's US$3.55 billion acquisition of Clarivate Analytics. In his new position, Motamedi will be responsible for acquisitions and investment oversight from the firm's office in New York. Before joining Onex, Motamedi worked in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Pritzker Group Private Capital said Jan. 10 that Brad West was promoted to principal-legal from vice president.

Schoenthal named Senior MD at Harvest Partners

Harvest Partners LP said Jan. 9 that it promoted Andrew Schoenthal to Senior Managing Director. He was previously a managing director. Other Harvest promotions include: Nick Romano to Managing Director; Michael Greenman, James Mitchel and David Schwartz to Principal; and, Steve Fessler to Vice President.
