Vyas named Senior MD of FocusPoint Private Capital

FPCG LLC, d/b/a FocusPoint Private Capital Group, said May 11 that it named Gaurang Vyas a Senior Managing Director. Vyas will also named COO of Landc Investment LLC, the parent of FocusPoint. Vyas was previously an MD of Enhanced Capital.

Brentwood founder Kip Hagopian retires as chairman of Maxim Integrated Products

Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. announced the retirement of Kip Hagopian as chairman of the board, to be succeeded by current board member William P. Sullivan. Hagopian, a general partner and founder of private equity and venture capital firm Brentwood Associates, was a founding investor in Maxim, which provides analog integration services to industrial and data-driven businesses.

Madison Dearborn's NFP promotes Kim Davis to executive VP for HR

Insurance broker and consultant NFP, which is owned by Madison Dearborn Partners, promoted Kim Davis to executive vice president, chief human resources officer. In addition to heading NFP's internal human resources programs, Davis led the company's expansion in HR consulting. She previously co-founded a benefits procurement consortium specializing in private equity that was acquired by NFP in 2012.

Calera Capital hires logistics exec Bob Bianco as operating partner

Middle-market private equity firm Calera Capital appointed Bob Bianco as operating partner. Formerly CEO of Menlo Worldwide, Bianco is to assist with investments in transportation and supply chain management, committing $40 to $200 million of equity per investment, with a focus on "third party logistics".

Ex-Lindsay Goldberg executives form Stonecourt Capital

Lance Hirt and Jaime Buehl-Reichard, former executives of Lindsay Goldberg, have launched New York-based private equity firm Stonecourt Capital LP. Hirt, formerly a partner at Lindsay Goldberg, will be Managing Partner of Stonecourt, while Buehl-Richard, an ex-MD at Lindsay Goldberg, will be co-founding partner. PetroLogistics' Partners David Lumpkins and Nathan Ticatch are also joining Stonecourt. Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is acting as legal advisor to Stonecourt.

Raidy resigns as W.F. Taylor CEO

Jack Raidy has resigned as CEO of W.F. Taylor LLC. Daniel A. Pelton was named the new CEO of W.F. Taylor. Dominus Capital owns a controlling stake in W.F. Taylor.

Summer Street-backed Curtis Bay Medical Waste hires new CEO

Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services, a portfolio company of Summer Street Capital, appointed Jack Perko as President and CEO. Perko was formerly managing director of Australia's Cleanaway Waste Management LTD. Curtis Bay is a regulated medical waste disposal company serving hospitals on the East Coast.
