Ally Corporate Finance names Babcock head of healthcare underwriting

Ally Corporate Finance has named Jim Babcock managing director and head of healthcare underwriting, effective immediately. Babcock will be based in New York and report to Tom Ceto, head of healthcare finance for Ally Corporate Finance. Ally Corporate Finance is a unit of Ally Financial that provides senior secured commercial-lending products to primarily U.S.-based middle market companies.

361 Capital, which is backed by Lovell Minnick Partners, has hired Clifford Stanton as director of portfolio solutions and product management. Prior to joining the firm, Stanton worked at Envestnet where he served as chief research officer. Based in Denver, 361 Capital is an asset management firm that specializes in liquid alternative investments.

TCV hires Bain executive to lead investor relations

Technology Crossover Ventures has hired Bain Capital executive Nathan Sanders as a general partner and head of investor relations. In the role, Sanders will work with TCV's limited partners and lead the firm's fundraising. Sanders worked at Bain for eight years as a director, focusing on deals and portfolio companies and working on investor relations.

Michael Bloomberg will re-take the helm at Bloomberg LP as president and chief executive officer Daniel Doctoroff will step aside at the end of the year. Doctoroff joined the company as president in January 2008 and become CEO in 2011. Prior to Bloomberg, Doctoroff worked for six years as New York City's Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding in the Bloomberg administration. Before, Doctoroff was a managing partner at Oak Hill Capital Partners.

Meridiam hires ex Hungarian PM Bajnai as Group COO

Global investment firm Meridiam has named Hungary's former Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai as group chief operating officer. From April 2009 to May 2010, Bajnai served as Prime Minister of the Republic of Hungary. Prior to that, he was Minister at the Ministry of National Development and Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Local Government. He's also the former head of the National Development Agency. Bajnai, who has been a member of Meridiam's supervisory board since 2011, will be based in the firm's Paris headquarters.
