Diversus opens Hong Kong office, hires principal

Sydney-based placement agent Diversus Investment Advisors is establishing operations in Asia.

Australian placement agent Diversus Investment Advisors has opened an office in Hong Kong, and has hired a principal, Vincent Pun, to lead its East Asian business. 
Pun is the second member of the team, joining founder and director Nicholas Smith. The Hong Kong office is Diversus’s second. The firm is headquartered in Sydney.
Pun is responsible for building the Diversus franchise across Asia. He will focus on fund origination, screening, due diligence as well as institutional investor and manager research across private equity, venture capital and hedge fund sectors in the Asia Pacific region, with coverage on the Gulf, Europe and North America.
Pun previously headed the research division of the Asian Venture Capital Journal, where he conducted private equity and mergers and acquisitions in Asia. He also advised general partners, limited partners and institutional investors in the areas of fund-raising, market entry, sector analysis and manager selection.
