Matt Appleton, who joined the firm in 2004, becomes a senior principal, as doesPascal Keutgens, a 2003 appointment, and Marco Mendes, recruited in 2006. They join the firm’s existing senior principals: Julian Huxtable (London); Francisco Churtichaga (Madrid); Yann Duchesne (Paris); and Claus Felder (Frankfurt).

Senior principals, the firm's highest ranking executives save for its various co-heads, sit on Doughty's investment committee.

The firm also promoted Chris Fielding (2006), Jon Higginson (2007) and Alex Moss (2006) from senior associate to principal. All three are based in the London office. The firm now has eight principals and seven senior principals across its various offices.

Stephen Marquardt, chief executive of Doughty, told Private Equity International: “This is a reflection of the significant contribution all of those promoted have made in recent years.  We have developed a strong corporate culture over the last 26 years and promoting from within helps us to retain and strengthen that.”
