Evernote Inks $50M From Sequoia, Morgenthaler

Evernote has pulled in $50 million in a new funding round led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Morgenthaler Ventures. Evernote is aimed at helping users remember things: Users can take a photo, make notes and tag and catalog them via the Evernote platform. The three-year-old company touts 11 million users to date. And with the new cash, Evernote plans to grow through acquisitions. As a result of the new round, Roelof Botha of Sequoia Capital will transition from an observer seat to becoming a full member of Evernote's board.
