Laura Coquis, the former head of investor relations management at BC Partners, has joined boutique advisory firm Aviditi Advisors.
London-based Coquis joined the firm as a partner in September, UK regulatory filings show. Coquis, who has updated her LinkedIn profile to show her new role, did not return a request for comment by press time.
Aviditi was formed by ex-Credit Suisse fundraisers Ryan Schlitt and John Robertshaw, sister publication Buyouts reported in February. The firm is backed by a family office in Texas, Buyouts noted, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The New York-based alternative investment advisory firm has a “highly experienced team of over 30 professionals located in five offices across the globe”, according to its website. It provides tailored services across capital formation, capital and advisory services and liquidity options.
Coquis was with buyouts giant BC Partners for nine years and left the firm as a partner after it wrapped up fundraising for its €7 billion flagship fund in 2018.
She joined Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System Infrastructure after BC and served as its managing director for strategic partnerships from 2018 to 2020, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Aviditi has assembled a staff of senior executives from brand-name private equity firms and advisory groups including Colin Dinneen, a former managing director at First Avenue Partners and director at Sixpoint Partners, and Leaf Green, previously a director at KKR Capital Markets, their respective LinkedIn profiles show.
On Thursday sister publication Secondaries Investor reported that Aviditi had hired a director from Lazard to focus on secondaries at the firm.
Aviditi did not return a request for comment.
– This report has been updated to reflect that Coquis was head of IR management at BC Partners.
