Fishman resigns from Carlyle's board

The Carlyle Group said Wednesday that Jay Fishman has resigned as a member of the Board of Directors of Carlyle Group Management LLC effective Oct. 27. He resigned due to health issues. Carlyle has named Anthony Welters, Executive Chairman of the Black Ivy Group LLC and Senior Adviser to the Office of the CEO of UnitedHealth Group, as an independent director.
