US private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners has appointed William Bixby, a former investment committee member for The Riverside company, as a partner.
Bixby will assist Dallas-based Trinity in sourcing, executing and managing fund investments, according to a statement from the firm. Trinity focuses on mid-market investments in the Southwestern US.
Bixby is familiar with Trinity Hunt’s geographical focus, having co-founded Riverside’s Dallas office in 2001. While there, the University of Texas graduate was responsible for acquiring majority positions in private companies, served on portfolio company boards, and exited several investments.
Prior to joining Riverside, Bixby worked for seven years in the merchant banking group of Banc One Capital Partners, another Dallas-based firm focused on mezzanine and equity investments. Bixby also has worked for Citicorp Venture Capital and Citicorp’s Leverage Capital Group.
Trinity Hunt specialises in leveraged acquisitions, recapitalisations and late-stage growth financings of mid-market companies with enterprise values between $15 million and $150 million. The firm targets the niche manufacturing, business services, health care, aerospace, media and consumer products industries.
