Genocea Biosciences Raises $23 Million
Genocea Biosciences, a Cambridge, Mass.-based developer of prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines, has raised $23 million in Series A funding. S.R. One, the VC arm of GlaxoSmithKline, led the round, and was joined by Auriga Partners, Cycad Group and Alexandria Real Estate Equities. Returning seed backers include Lux Capital Management, Polaris Venture Partners and Morningside Ventures.
