GI Partners has held a final close for GI Partners Fund VI at $3.9 billion, surpassing its $3.25 billion target, according to a recent press release. The oversubscribed fund will continue to invest in North American mid-market companies in diversified sectors.

The firm received commitments from California State Teachers’ Retirement System and Albuquerque Community Foundation. The funds predecessor, GI Partners Fund V, closed at its hard-cap of $2.7 billion in November 2017.
