Corporate advisory business Hawkpoint Partners has made three new hires: Andrew Lynn and Dominic Wallis have joined the team as directors while Peter Thickett has become a senior adviser.
Thickett will work in the firm’s German advisory business, having previously held senior roles in the UK and Germany. He was head of mergers and acquisitions at boutique investment bank SG Warburg and managing director of Wasserstein Perella. He has also been head of merger and acquisitions at Barclays Capital and worked at German corporate advisory boutique, Ermgassen.
Lynn will become part of the firm’s debt advisory team, having previously been head of Icelandic bank Kaupthing’s acquisition and leveraged finance team. He was also
a senior member of the acquisition finance team at UK bank Abbey and a member of the leveraged finance operation at global bank Credit Suisse. Hawkpoint said in a statement it was seeking to expand its debt advisory business on the back of debt market turmoil.
Wallis has come from merchant bank NM Rothschild and will focus on media advisory work. He will team up with Simon Gluckstein who joined Hawkpoint from Citigroup two years ago to establish the firm’s media advisory practice. Hawkpoint has advised on deals including UK media group Chrysalis’ sale of its radio division and Scottish Media Group’s sale of its outdoor advertising business.
