IK Investment Partners raises €550m

The London-headquartered firm has closed its second small cap fund at its hard-cap amount.

IK Investment Partners has held a final close at €550 million for its IK Small Cap Fund II. The fund began fundraising in November 2017. The New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS), Aberdeen Standard Investments, Ardian, and Pantheon are some of the investors in the fund.

The firm will use the capital to make investments through a buyout strategy in a diverse number of sectors in Western Europe.

The fund’s predecessor closed at €277 million in March, 2016 and has invested in 12 companies, of which three have been realized to date.
