Illumina, Warburg, Sutter Hill Ventures form Helix

Illumina Inc., Warburg Pincus and Sutter Hill Ventures said Tuesday they have formed Helix, which has received more than $100 million in financing commitments. San Francisco-based Helix will reportedly serve as a digital hub for an individual’s genetic information, the New York Times said. The Center for Individualized Medicine at Mayo Clinic, which is collaborating with Helix, has also made a strategic investment.
