UK-based Inflexion Private Equity has expanded its team with the appointment of a value enhancement director, according to a statement.
The firm has recruited Jon Andrew, a former LDC managing director and chief operational officer, for the newly created role.
Andrew, who has joined the firm this month, “will work alongside the investment team to support strategic and operational value creation within Inflexion’s portfolio”, the firm said.
Prior to Inflexion, Andrew was a director at Evergreen Performance Improvement, where he worked with management teams to drive shareholder value improvement, according to his LinkedIn page.
He worked at LDC from April 2005 to December 2012 where he held a number of different positions including chief operating officer and head of LDC’s value enhancement group. While at LDC, he was also interim chief operating officer at Virgin Racing, one of LDC’s portfolio companies.
The appointment comes just a month after Inflexion listed FDM Group, a UK-headquartered IT services company on the London Stock Exchange, netting the firm a 16.2x return.
In May, Inflexion booked a 3.6x on the listing of National Accident Helpline, while in January, it sold Optionis Group, a UK employment services company, which yielded a 3.5x return.
The firm is currently investing its latest buyout fund, a £375 million, 2010-vintage. In January, the firm acquired a majority stake in Succession Holdings Limited, a UK-based wealth management business.
PEI’s 2014 Operational Excellence Awards, which are designed to recognise the year’s best private equity value creation stories, are now open for entries. Click here to apply.
