Richard Swann will join UK mid-market private equity firm Inflexion Private Equity on 1 November as investment director.
Swann had been investment director since 2005 in the London office of Lloyds TSB’s mid-market private equity firm LDC. He is a former partner at Deloitte Corporate Finance.
Inflexion hired the former head of private equity vehicle Saatchinvest in August, Andrew Lee, as assistant director, and hired Clara Chen as investment executive from Marakon Strategy Consultants.
Also in August, the firm promoted both Christian Hamilton and Catherine Richards to investment director.
Inflexion focuses on the lower mid-market in the UK and maintains offices in London and Manchester.
Inflexion is currently investing its £165 million (€208 million; $325 million) 2006 buyout fund. The firm typically targets deals of between £10 million and £100 million and its most recent investment was the MBO of UK-based manufacturer of submarine vehicles SMD in April of this year.
