Inflexion Private Equity held double final closes on Inflexion Buyout Fund V and Inflexion Partnership Capital Fund II after raising £1.25 billion and £1 billion respectively.
According to the London-based firm’s press release, both vehicles were oversubscribed and closed at their hard cap totals after less than four months on the road. While each vehicle will make investments of up to £200 million in fast-growing mid-market businesses, Fund V will target majority investments only and Fund II will exclusively focus on minority stakes. Limited partners in both funds include the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, which committed £100 million, and the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS), which invested £130 million.
Each vehicle’s respective predecessors, Buyout Fund IV and Partnership Capital Fund I, raised a combined £1.05 billion in 2014.
